The Politehnica University of Timisoara through the e-Learning Centre with the support of the Romanian Alliance of Technical Universities, EDEN and IEEE Romania Associations have organized the XI-th webinar under the series #onlinetogether – Practical use of Open Educational Resources. UNESCO recommendations on Thursday, august 6th 2020.
Over 2,500 teachers from Romania attended the event dedicated to good practices of use and integration of open educational resources (OER) in education, hosted and moderated by the Politehnica University of Timisoara. Both the presenters and the guests shared their practical experience related to the use and integration of OER and offered recommendations to participants in undergraduate and academic education.

The e-Learning Centre showcased the developments on the Open Virtual Mobility project , the OpenVM learning hub developed by the team of the e-Learning Centre, the free and open courses for virtual mobilities and the digital credentials using Open Badge standard to recognise all eight OpenVM skills which you can develop in the Open Virtual Mobility Learning Hub by participating in the OpenVM MOOCs.
The event was a real success, with over 3000 people enrolled, with hundreds of comments, opinions and dozens of questions asked during the 2 hours, being broadcast live on YouTube and Facebook.
The team that presented this webinar worked on the development of the guide launched in May 2020: Guidance on Open Educational Practices during School Closures: Utilizing OER under COVID-19 Pandemic in line with UNESCO OER Recommendation, the first guide published under the auspices of UNESCO, designed to support teachers everywhere, with examples of the use of practices and open educational resources (OER / Open Educational Practices, OEP), according to the UNESCO OER Recommendations.
