The recent virtual technologies, web and mobile are changing the way to read the present; similarly it must change the way of presenting the past. The fruition of cultural heritage and history is maturing modalities in the use of tools (Web sites, portals, social networks, mobile devices) and techniques (computer graphics, virtual tour, augmented reality) for better communication. In the following article, some contemporary phenomena are analyzed and are presented some techniques and case studies related to ICT (Information Communication Technology) for teaching and the dissemination of culture.
